Rob SternthalRob Sternthal, President

Rob Sternthal is head of Reznick Capital Markets (RCM) and, in that role, has been involved in numerous renewable energy transactions in the wind, solar and biomass sectors. Rob focuses his practice on raising, structuring and negotiating tax equity alongside Reznick Group’s renewable energy practice, as well as placing debt and equity or creating joint equity ventures for Reznick Group’s renewable energy developer client base that totals more than 75 developers.

RCM’s most recent assignments have included financial advisory on the purchase of a 40MW wind farm, the sale and financing of a 50MW wind farm, tax equity and project financing for a 60MW wind farm, tax equity financing several portfolios of solar distributed generation projects and the sale of more than 40 MWs of solar projects – including distributed and utility-scale.

Prior to Reznick Group, Rob spent more than seven years at Credit Suisse. At Credit Suisse, he focused on establishing new businesses, leading to the formation of Credit Suisse's Tax Credit Syndication business in 2006. After its formation, Rob worked with Credit Suisse’s Project Finance and Renewable Energy Group and their clients to help them navigate the tax equity market and project financing structures.

Prior to joining Credit Suisse in May 2001, Rob was an attorney at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. At Milbank, he was the lead associate on more than 25 domestic and international corporate finance transactions, including public and private placements ranging from $25 million to $1 billion. From May 1998 to May 2001, Rob was a Staff Attorney in the New York office of the United States' Securities & Exchange Commission.

Rob received his B.A. in Economics from Emory University in 1992 and his J.D., cum laude, from Temple University in 1995. In 1994, Rob received a Nambu scholarship to study law in Japan. He maintains conversational fluency in Japanese.

Michael HartmanMichael Hartman - Managing Director

A graduate of the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania, Michael Hartman is a Managing Director with Reznick Capitals. He has more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of real estate and real estate finance, completing over $1 billion of commercial real estate transactions as both a principal and capital markets advisor. After completing his MBA, Michael spent six years on Wall Street as a real estate investment banker, most recently at Deutsche Bank, raising debt and equity for public and private real estate companies. He also spent four years as partner at The Carlyle Group's Seniors Housing Division, investing over $400 Million in 18 assets generating over $100 Million in gross profits from realized gains. Michael is responsible for assisting clients and prospects of the Reznick Group in accessing debt and equity capital for acquisitions, development and recapitalizations across all sectors of Commercial Real Estate.

Conor McKenna, CFA

As a member of Reznick Capital Markets (RCM), Conor McKenna focuses on raising, structuring and negotiating tax equity, debt and joint venture equity. He has been involved in numerous renewable energy transactions to date including solar, wind and biomass projects. Since joining RCM in June 2011,  Conor’s assignments have included the sale of a 24.2 MW solar farm in Puerto Rico, the sale of 12.2 MW solar DG portfolio in California and several solar and wind tax equity financings.

Prior to RCM, Conor was a member of the Renewable Energy Structured Finance Group at Evolution Markets, focusing primarily on Renewable Energy Credits and Bundled PPA’s in the Northeast and Midwest compliance markets.  His work included conducting the first long-term solar renewable energy credit deal in the Massachusetts market, and research coverage for the NEPOOL, PJM, and MISO Regional Compliance Markets. Prior to joining Evolution Markets, Conor worked in the Investment Team at EcoSecurities in the New York office, helping to manage one of the world’s largest carbon project portfolios. 

Before focusing on environmental finance, Conor worked at the investment management company J&W Seligman as a Vice President in the institutional group. He helped orchestrate the IPO of the first international closed-end real estate fund on the NYSE.

Conor received his MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and his CFA charter in 2009.  He received a BA in Philosophy, cum laude, from Providence College. Formerly a member of the U.S National Karate Team, Conor is also an avid rugby player.
